A beautiful day at Montage Beach |

While we were in California we were able to do some shopping in Santa Monica. We spent 2 whole hours in Anthropologie! Why? Because we didn't have any kids with us and we could. We went and saw Brian Regan do his stand up comedy at the Wiltern Theater in L.A. and laughed til our stomachs and faces hurt. We Ate at the most amazing restaurants including The Melting Pot (Irvine), Milk (Beverly Hills), True Food Kitchen (Newport Beach), Jack n' Jills (Santa Monica), RFD (Santa Monica), Nectar Juice Bar (Santa Monica), and Sprinkles (Newport Beach) just to name a few.
We did lots of shopping at Fashion Island and even did manicures and pedicures while we were there. We went for a walk on the beach, late night hot tubbing and a late night drive thru at In n' Out Burger because we were stuck in traffic for several hours after the Brian Regan show.
The trip was amazing, not having kids for a few days was amazing, and sleeping in was amazing. But what was even more amazing was the group of girls that went. We had the best conversations and I came away from the trip feeling uplifted and inspired in so many ways.
Why this trip changed my life....

My new favorite Restaurant |
Each girl inspired me in a different way. Kat inspired me to eat more healthy, whole foods, and clean foods. Katie inspired me to be more happy and laugh and joke more. And Tiffany (the birthday girl) inspired me to set goals and live out my dreams no matter how big they might be.
I think I may have inspired them to work out and exercise more frequently? I dunno. But what a great foursome we made for an amazing girls weekend getaway.
Nic thinks I came home in dreamland but I think I came back a renewed woman with my hopes and dreams on the outside instead of wrapped up tight in a cute little package on the inside.
