Tonight is Friday. Tonight is date night. Nic and I will be doing the following three things in order...
1. Sweat. First we will be hitting the gym to get a workout in because we both slept in this morning and we never get to work out together anymore so we thought it would make for a fun date night activity to actually work out together instead of separately.
2. Sushi. Our favorite food. After we work up a sweat we will head over to Sakura or Sushi Ya (we have not decided yet) for an all you can eat sushi dinner. Yum!
3. Sex. And when we get home...I won't go into detail. You're welcome!
Ever since Nic and I decided to hire a "regular" baby sitter to come over every Friday night I feel like my life is that much more balanced. And if I'm having a hair pulling week with the kids I can always look forward to an evening out with the hubs come Friday. This simple "date night" concept that we have officially incorporated into our lives just two and half months ago as made me that much more sane, balanced, happy, delighted, etc.
What other things have I incorporated into my life to keep me sane? A girl's night out...one time...each month. It has to happen ladies! We need our girl time. We need time to connect, to bond, to laugh together over food or shopping or pedicures. These things make us happy and then we can return home to our husbands and children with a renewed energy and desire to be a better wife and mother. I chose once a month because it seemed fair and it seemed balanced.
